From Blogger to Visionary: Redefining Modern Motherhood and Digital Fame
My name is Lima Che, and my story began over 13 years ago when I created my very first blog, Lima’s Wardrobe. Back then, I never imagined it would lead me to where I am today – a social media influencer, a proud wife, and a mother to three wonderful children. My life is a beautiful mix of chaos and love, all unfolding in Antwerp, Belgium, where I live with my family.
It feels surreal to say that I was one of the first bloggers and influencers in Belgium. When I started, it was a completely new world. There were just a handful of us paving the way, figuring it all out as we went along. The digital landscape was so different back then, and seeing how far it has come – and how far I’ve come – is incredibly rewarding. Balancing my career and motherhood has been a journey of its own. With three little ones, every day is an adventure. My secret weapon? Organization. I plan everything carefully, making sure my kids are always a priority. Of course, I couldn’t do it without my support system. My husband is an amazing partner, and my mom is my rock, always stepping in to help when I need her.
Motherhood is the most beautiful, transformative experience, but it can also be overwhelming. I often remind myself – and other moms – that perfection isn’t the goal. It’s about doing your best, even on the hardest days. You’re enough, and that’s something every mom should hold on to. While my days are filled with family and work commitments, I’m always looking ahead. Right now, I have a few exciting collaborations in the works. I can’t reveal too much just yet, but there’s a lot of exciting content coming soon. Stay tuned – 2024 is going to be amazing!
People often ask me what I’d be doing if I weren’t in the world of fashion and social media. Honestly, I’d probably be a lawyer. It was always my second dream, and I even planned to study law before life took me in a different direction. I still wonder what kind of lawyer I’d be today, but I believe I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. Looking ahead, I see myself continuing to grow and evolve. In 10 years, I hope to still be doing what I love – creating, inspiring, and raising my family. Maybe I’ll have five kids by then (why not?), living on a beautiful farm with my loved ones and leading a life filled with purpose and joy. That doesn’t mean it’s all smooth sailing. One of the hardest parts of my journey has been traveling for work. Leaving my kids behind, even for a short while, is never easy. The guilt is something I carry with me, but I remind myself why I’m doing it – to provide for them, to show them the importance of passion and perseverance. And when I’m back home, I make every moment with them count.
When it comes to inspiration, I’ve always admired Hailey Bieber. She’s built an incredible brand and image while staying true to herself. She’s a boss lady in every sense of the word, balancing her career, motherhood, and personal life with such grace. She inspires me to dream bigger and work harder. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with the Glam Mom Magazine team, and it was such a fantastic experience. The energy on set was incredible – like being surrounded by old friends who just happened to be brilliant at what they do. It was a day filled with laughter, creativity, and inspiration, and I can’t wait to see the final result. Through all the highs and lows, I’m grateful for this life I’ve built. It’s not perfect, but it’s mine, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. My story is still unfolding, and I’m excited to see where the next chapter takes me.

Inspiration in Every Stitch: A Stylist’s Journey from Small Town to Social Icon
At 36, I’ve built a life that blends my passions with my greatest purpose: being a mother. It’s not always easy, but it’s beautiful in its chaos. As a stylist at Carrément and a social media influencer, I live and breathe fashion and creativity. But at the heart of everything I do are my two kids – they’re my world.
Motherhood is… well, let’s just say it’s an emotional rollercoaster that never stops. There are moments when my heart feels like it might burst from love, and others when I’m Googling “how to get bubblegum out of hair.” It’s messy, chaotic, and absolutely the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I come from a creative family, so it’s no surprise that fashion became my passion. My mom was my first style icon – she was effortlessly chic, even with five kids in tow. She didn’t have time to overthink her outfits, but she still managed to pull off anything. Professionally, I’ve always admired Stella McCartney. Sustainable fashion plus Beatles heritage? Iconic. And yes, we sell Stella McCartney at Carrément!
Now, as I raise my daughter, I can already see her creative side shining through. She loves playing dress-up and has no problem giving me her two cents on my outfits. It’s too early to tell if she’ll follow in my footsteps, but one thing’s for sure – she’ll definitely outdress me someday! Whether or not fashion becomes her passion, I’ll support her in whatever makes her happy. Becoming a mom has completely shifted my perspective, even in my career. Before, it was all about keeping up with the latest trends. Now, I have to ask myself the real questions, like: “Can I wear this and still crawl under a table to grab a toy?” My platform has evolved, too – I want to empower other moms, promote body positivity, and encourage mindful fashion choices. It’s no longer just about me; it’s about the legacy I’m building for my kids and my followers.
Balancing motherhood and my career as a single mom is no joke. Some days feel impossible. Planning and prioritizing are my lifelines, but I also rely heavily on my incredible support system of family and friends. They keep me grounded when things get overwhelming. I’ve also learned to let go of perfection – a real challenge for someone like me, who loves being in control! Now, I just focus on doing my best and being present for my kids. Looking ahead, I’m so excited for what’s next. There are some incredible collaborations with brands and influencers in the works – content that feels real and relatable, because that’s what matters most to me. Stay tuned for some amazing things on the horizon!
If you asked about my greatest fear, it’s not being able to give my kids the best life possible. They are my everything, and I want them to grow up feeling loved, supported, and confident enough to chase their dreams. My own childhood shaped who I am today. I grew up in a small town where my parents owned a fabric store. That little shop became my playground. I used to design my own clothes and sketch outfits, dreaming of one day becoming a fashion designer. Those early experiences taught me creativity, hard work, and determination – lessons I carry with me to this day.
Through every challenge and triumph, I strive to create a life filled with love, resilience, and authenticity. Being a mom, an influencer, and a stylist is a balancing act, but it’s worth every moment. This is my story, and I’m grateful for every chapter.
Audrey Hédo
Winning Big in Beauty: Audrey Hédo’s Journey to NRJ Creators Night
Hi Glam Mom readers! I’m Audrey Hédo, a 34-year-old mom, beauty content creator, lifestyle guru, and – when time allows – a houseplant enthusiast who’s just trying to keep the greenery alive. Between school runs, beauty tutorials, and my weekly radio show on Fun Radio, my life is a whirlwind of chaos and creativity. But honestly? I wouldn’t have it any other way. I was born and raised in Belgium, and today I’m lucky enough to share my world with two amazing kids: Ohio, my 11-year-old tech genius, and Ciel, my 7-year-old creative powerhouse. My life is a little bit hectic, a little bit fabulous, kind of like a perfectly blended smokey eye.
When I won my award as a makeup content creator, it was a moment of pure magic. Honestly, as a content creator, impostor syndrome is a constant companion. You wonder, “Do I even belong here?” But that recognition silenced the doubts for a while. It was like the community wrapped me in a warm hug – a reminder that the work I put out there really does mean something to people. In this industry, it’s hard to measure the impact you’re making, but winning the award was validation that my efforts resonate. It’s a moment I’ll always treasure.
What’s my biggest dream? Financial freedom. I want to be able to wake up one morning and decide to hop on a plane with my kids, no overthinking, no second-guessing. I want to show them the world, immerse them in different cultures, and let them come home with stories that’ll make their classmates jealous. Career-wise, I’m grateful for how far I’ve come, but there’s always that little voice saying, “What else can I do? How much more can I grow?” I’m curious – and maybe a bit competitive with myself – to see just how far I can take this journey.
Ohio and Ciel couldn’t be more different, yet they share a bond that amazes me. Ohio is my thoughtful strategist, always needing clarity and structure to thrive. His resilience and patience blow me away (and no, he didn’t get those from me!). Ciel, on the other hand, is my little free spirit. She’s emotionally intelligent in ways I didn’t even know were possible for a 7-year-old. She’s always creating, dreaming, and expressing herself beautifully. Watching them grow and seeing parts of myself reflected in them is the most rewarding feeling as a mom. They inspire me every day to be a better person. If I could give new moms one piece of advice, it’s this: be prepared for anything. Life will throw surprises your way, so it’s better to be ready than caught off guard. More importantly, trust your instincts. As a mom, you’ll know your child better than anyone else – listen to that inner voice because it’s there for a reason. And lastly, be kind to yourself. Parenting isn’t about perfection; it’s about doing your best with what you’ve got. Give yourself grace – you’re doing amazing.
Balancing my roles as a makeup artist, content creator, and mom is… a lot. Between hosting Fun Radio on Wednesday nights, attending events, and managing my content, there are times when the mom guilt creeps in. I used to be a stay-at-home mom, so now, when I’m not around as much, I sometimes feel like I’m letting the kids down. I know it’s silly – they’re thriving – but mom guilt is relentless. If anyone has the secret to curing it, I’m all ears! When people ask me who inspires me, I don’t have just one idol. I’m drawn to stories of resilience – people who weren’t supposed to make it but did anyway. It’s their strength and positivity that motivate me to keep pushing forward. There are so many unforgettable moments in my career that it’s hard to pick just one. My very first YouTube video with Océane holds a special place in my heart because it started this incredible journey. And winning the NRJ Creators Night? That was surreal.
Honestly, I should start journaling these milestones. My future self will thank me! There’s a lot I can’t reveal just yet, but let’s just say I’m focused on staying creative and keeping things fresh. One project I can share is my upcoming Twitch channel! Fingers crossed it’s up and running by the time you’re reading this. Life as a mom, creator, and radio host is hectic, but it’s also filled with beauty, love, and endless possibility. I’m just getting started, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next.
Nathalie Eoma Verbeken
From Runways to Playrooms, Motherhood, Modeling, and Finding Purpose
I’m Nathalie Eoma, 29 years old, a wife to Laurent Verbeken, a mom to my sweet little Guillaume, and someone who’s lucky enough to call both modeling and design my career. My journey has taken me from the runways of the world to creating Madame Abacost, my own clothing brand, and co-founding DRC Fashion Week, a platform to showcase Congolese talent on a global stage. It hasn’t been a simple path, but it’s mine – a story of resilience, ambition, and deep love for where I come from.
Becoming a mom has been the most transformative experience of my life. It’s like discovering a part of myself I never knew was missing. Motherhood fills me with happiness, and it’s made me more emotional in the best way possible. I feel whole now, like I’ve found what I’ve always been searching for. That said, balancing my career and being a mom is no easy task. Guillaume is still so young, and I’m still trying to figure out a routine that works for us. It’s tough – I’ll admit that – but his smile is all the motivation I need to keep pushing forward. Modeling has been my first love, and it’s taken me across the world and onto runways I used to dream of. One of the most unforgettable moments of my career was walking the same stage as Naomi Campbell. She’s been my ultimate inspiration since I was a little girl. To share that moment with her was surreal. For me, she represents excellence and possibility, especially for Black girls like me who look up to her. People sometimes compare me to her, and while it’s incredibly flattering, I always laugh when it happens – especially when I’m wearing a hairstyle like hers!
After becoming a mom, I had doubts about returning to the runway. I worried about how my body would change and whether I’d feel confident again. But to my surprise, I recovered quickly, and I’m excited to keep walking. I can’t wait for the day Guillaume is old enough to see me on the runway. Knowing he’ll see his mom walking with pride and elegance makes me even more determined. While modeling introduced me to fashion, designing has become my true passion. With Madame Abacost, I get to create clothing that’s both timeless and modern, inspired by my Congolese heritage. Right now, I’m working on our next collection, set to debut in early 2025, and I can’t wait to share it with the world. My drive to succeed comes from a fear of not giving my best. I pour my heart into everything I do, whether it’s sketching designs or walking a runway. When I commit to something, I give it my all – it’s just how I’m wired.
Congo is where my story begins, and it’s the foundation of everything I do. I grew up in a tight-knit community surrounded by love and the example of my hardworking mother. My childhood taught me to be passionate, to work hard, and to truly enjoy life. The warmth and resilience of my family and neighborhood shaped who I am today. Every stitch of my designs and every step I take on the runway is rooted in the lessons I learned back home.
Balancing motherhood, modeling, and designing isn’t easy, but it’s my life – and I’m grateful for every part of it. Whether I’m cuddling Guillaume, sketching a new design, or stepping onto a runway, I’m fueled by passion and purpose. To me, this is just the beginning. I’m proud to be Congolese, a mom, a designer, and a model. And as I keep chasing my dreams, I hope to inspire others to embrace their roots and their passions, just as I have.
Larissa de Castro
Finding Beauty in Motherhood, Memories, and Modeling
I’ve always believed that life is about balance. For the past 15 years, I’ve worked as a model, which has been an exciting and fulfilling career. But my true heart lies in my role as a mother to my two incredible kids. Together, we create what I like to call “beautiful chaos.” Between family, food, travel, and fashion, every day feels like an adventure I’m lucky to embrace fully.
Motherhood transformed me. It’s hard to describe the overwhelming love and purpose it brings. From the moment I held my children for the first time, my world shifted. Their laughter fills my days, and their milestones – those tiny first steps, the curious questions – remind me how resilient and patient I can be. They’ve taught me to live in the moment, and for that, I’m endlessly grateful. My father was my biggest cheerleader. He supported every step of my modeling journey, believing in me even when I doubted myself. Tragically, I lost him to mesothelioma a little over a year ago. The pain of his absence is something I carry every day. But his memory lives on in my children, especially my youngest, Julian. My father met him just four weeks before he passed, and it’s comforting to know that a piece of him exists in Julian’s bright spirit. His love and belief in me continue to guide me in everything I do.
Professionally, I’ve always admired Cindy Crawford and how she balances her career with family. People often tell me I look like her daughter, Kaia Gerber, which I take as a huge compliment – it inspires me to keep striving for balance in my own life. Happiness, for me, isn’t tied to a specific location. It’s wherever my family is – on a beach during a vacation or around the dinner table at home. Still, there’s one place that holds a special place in my heart: our house in the Ardennes. The view is breathtaking, the atmosphere peaceful. It’s a place my parents loved, and now, it’s where my family creates new memories while honoring the old ones. I cherish my kids’ boundless curiosity most. They see the world with fresh eyes and remind me to slow down and find joy in the simplest moments. Motherhood has shifted my perspective on my work in fashion and social media. It’s taught me authenticity and the importance of celebrating imperfections. I want to be a role model for my kids and others, showing that it’s possible to have a fulfilling career while staying grounded in family life. My relationship with my own mother is something I hold dear. She’s taught me kindness, resilience, and the power of unconditional love. Losing my father was unimaginably hard for her, but she faces each day with strength and grace. My sister and I do everything we can to support her, and in turn, she inspires us to carry on. I see so much of her in how I parent my own children, and I hope to pass on her legacy of love and resilience to them.
I’m excited for the future. I’m working on collaborations that bring together my love for fashion, food, and family, and I’m considering starting a project that reflects my passion for travel and connection. It’s an inspiring time, and I’m ready to see where it leads. If I had to name a fear, it’s that my children won’t fully know the love of their grandfather. He was extraordinary, and I strive every day to honor his memory through the way I raise them. Letting go is another challenge – whether it’s sending them to school or imagining their future independence. It’s a reminder of how much I want to protect them while knowing I need to let them grow. Open communication and trust are my tools to navigate this balance. I grew up in a home filled with laughter and love. My parents gave me the gift of a close-knit family, and my sister is my best friend. That bond shaped who I am today, reminding me of the importance of connection and resilience.
Working with Glam Mom Magazine was such a joy. The team made me feel at home during the shoot, and having my kids join me for a few candid moments was unforgettable. It captured what my life is truly about – family, love, and the beauty of being present in every moment.
Valeska van den Broecke
Balancing Motherhood, Marriage, and a Mission to Inspire
In a quiet town in East Flanders, Belgium, Valeska grew up surrounded by the simple joys of childhood – riding her bike, playing outside, and soaking up the freedom of a slow-paced life. But it wasn’t always idyllic. Bullied for having a lazy eye, Valeska faced challenges early on that taught her resilience and shaped her compassionate spirit. Today, as a 38-year-old mother, wife, entrepreneur, and advocate, those experiences fuel her passion for making a meaningful impact on the world.
“My childhood was a mix of beauty and struggle,” Valeska shares. “But those tough moments gave me strength and taught me to stand up for myself.” That resilience has stayed with her through every chapter of life, guiding her as she balances her roles as a mother to six-year-old Alexine, wife to former Belgian cycling champion Niels Albert, and co-owner of their family bike shop. Valeska’s journey as a mother has been transformative. “Motherhood is a blend of unconditional love, responsibility, and vulnerability,” she reflects. “Alexine has completely shifted my priorities. Her boundless curiosity and enthusiasm remind me every day of what truly matters. I cherish the simple, beautiful moments we share as a family – those are the ones that fill my heart.” For Valeska, family is at the center of everything. Her bond with her husband, Niels, is a source of inspiration and strength. “Niels has always been a cyclist at heart and watching him transition from his career to new challenges has taught me so much. His passion and resilience inspire me daily. Together, we strive to live by example for Alexine, showing her the values we hold dear.”
Beyond her family life, Valeska’s role as godmother to Beyond the Moon, a charity that creates unforgettable vacations for children with serious illnesses, is a testament to her generous spirit. “Becoming a mother heightened my sensitivity to the struggles others face. I can’t change the world single-handedly, but if I can bring joy to even one person, that’s incredibly meaningful.” When asked about her greatest fear, Valeska’s protective instincts as a mother shine through. “My biggest fear is not being able to provide Alexine with a safe, loving world where she can thrive. I want her to grow up knowing she’s deeply loved and supported.” Despite her busy life, Valeska finds joy in life’s simpler pleasures – cooking, savoring good food, and spending cozy evenings with friends. “Home is my happy place,” she says. “There’s nothing like unwinding with family, free from the distractions of the outside world.”
Valeska’s past experiences also inform how she parents. Her close relationship with her own mother serves as a guiding light. “My mother is my best friend, and I hope to build that same bond with Alexine. I want her to always feel safe and supported, just as I did.” Looking ahead, Valeska is excited about the future. She and Niels are expanding their bike shop, embracing their motto: “Standing still is moving backwards.” The couple is always seeking new opportunities to grow, evolve, and make a positive impact.
As our interview concludes, Valeska reflects on her experience with the Glam Mom Magazine photoshoot. “It was such a wonderful day! The team made me feel so comfortable and welcomed. We shared great laughs, and it felt like spending time with friends. It’s a memory I’ll always treasure.” Valeska’s story is one of resilience, love, and purpose – a reminder that life’s challenges can shape us into stronger, more compassionate individuals. Whether she’s supporting her family, advocating for children in need, or simply enjoying the warmth of her home, Valeska lives with a heart full of gratitude and a commitment to making the world a better place.
Transforming Spaces with Emotional Luxury: The Visionary Interior Design Studio Changing the Game
Isabel Gómez
Born and raised in the South of Spain as the eldest of four children, my life took a transformative turn at the age of 20 when I moved to Boston, USA, for a one-year au pair experience. That year shaped me in ways I couldn’t have imagined, opening my eyes to a new culture and way of life. It was during this time that I met the man who would later become my husband and the father of my two sons, a Belgian with whom I’d build a life in Brussels.
After returning to Spain and completing my studies in Tourism, I decided to move to Brussels in 1993, seeking better opportunities during Spain’s economic crisis. Adjusting to life in Belgium was challenging—the weather, the language, and the people were all vastly different from what I was used to. But after some time, I landed a position with a Belgian airline, EBA, in the aviation industry, a job that let me travel the world and fall in love with the diversity and convenience of my new city.
After 15 years in aviation, I was unexpectedly let go from my job. What felt like a devastating moment became a turning point. My entrepreneurial spirit was awakened, and I realized it was time for a new chapter. Around the same time, my 18-year marriage ended, leaving me a single mother of two young boys. I had to start over in many ways—finding a new home, managing life without a partner, and rethinking my career.
Despite the challenges, I took a year to explore new interests, from photography to feng shui, before discovering my true passion: interior design and real estate. I returned to school to study these fields and soon began my own business, driven by a desire to create homes that reflect deep emotional connections.
In 2018, I founded my studio, and today, we are a team of 10 professionals, specializing in innovative spatial planning and design. Our diverse team brings creativity and a global perspective to every project. Through my experiences, I’ve developed the concept of “Emotional Luxury,” which transcends mere aesthetics to create spaces that resonate deeply with their inhabitants, bringing a sense of comfort and luxury that is felt rather than seen.
Motherhood and my journey as an entrepreneur have shaped me, showing me that it is possible to balance both worlds. To every mother out there: if we can bring life into this world, we can shape our own lives and fulfill our dreams while being the best example for our children.

Life’s Challenges have Made me Stronger, Fueling my Passion as an Entrepreneur and my Love as a Mother.
Daphne Gijsen
Let me introduce myself. My name is Daphne Gijsen, and I am a proud mother of two children – Alexander (13) and Charlotte (7) – as well as an entrepreneur in the beauty industry. I have a wide range of interests in various markets, but my true passion lies in beauty and staying ahead of the latest trends. The beauty sector is a dynamic and ever-evolving field, and it brings me professional satisfaction to be a part of it.
Since completing my studies, I have been actively involved in the beauty industry. I founded my own beauty institute, SkinAesthetics, in Hasselt. Driven by my ambition and a desire for innovation in skincare and advanced skin improvement equipment – options that I couldn’t find in Belgium – I began attending beauty congresses abroad. There, I connected with progressive and renowned manufacturers and companies who shared my vision. This inspired me to take the next step and establish my own wholesale business, SkinAesthetics for PRO. As a distributor of science-based equipment, skincare, and mineral makeup, we now offer a comprehensive solution for businesses seeking real results without unnecessary, costly investments. To complement this concept, I later launched my own brand, PRO Aesthetics in beauty supplements. I firmly believe that supplementation plays a vital role for achieving the best results with my patients.
Life, with all its ups and downs, has shaped me into the woman I am today – an entrepreneur and a mother. Parenting is a beautiful journey, but it comes with significant responsibilities, which can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially while managing a business. This dual role has been a profound learning experience for me, but the challenges I’ve faced have only made me stronger and more resilient. Life is always changing, and I am constantly striving to navigate these shifts as an ambitious entrepreneur. Balancing work and family life isn’t always easy, so I have learned to prioritize structure and planning.
One of my greatest hopes is that my children grow up with a positive outlook on life and experience true happiness. The values I aim to instill in them include maintaining a positive attitude, trusting their instincts, never giving up, pursuing their dreams, having the courage to say no, and staying true to themselves. For me, it’s essential that they develop the resilience to thrive in the world around them.
To maintain a healthy work-life balance, I make a conscious effort to schedule quality time for myself and my family. During these moments, I focus on activities that recharge me and bring me joy. I love discovering new restaurants, and a spontaneous afternoon of shopping feels like a small treat – whether it’s finding something practical or a stylish addition to my wardrobe, it gives me renewed energy.
Looking ahead, I am committed to further developing myself and my business while ensuring that my family continues to have the loving, present mother they deserve. The future looks bright, and I remain focused on growth – both personally and professionally.
If you’d like to learn more about my passion and journey, feel free to visit my website and social media channels.
Building Lasting Relationships: The Path from Fashion Expert to Top Matchmaker
Laura Jacobs
I’m Laura, and you might know me from Roku’s Match Me in Miami, but my journey started long before stepping into the world of matchmaking. Before all of this, I was deeply immersed in the fashion world. It was a passion of mine for years, but I felt this growing desire for something more meaningful – something that would help people in a way that went beyond the surface. So, I made a major transition from fashion to business, specifically in the realm of matchmaking and relationship coaching.
I’ve always been fascinated by the dynamics of love and relationships, and over time, I found that I had a knack for offering practical, no-nonsense advice. That’s how my Instagram channel, @laurathematchmaker, was born. Through it, I’ve been able to connect with thousands of people, offering them real, actionable tips to navigate the often-confusing world of dating and relationships. Watching others find love, or simply get more clarity on their personal journey, brings me so much fulfillment.
On a more personal note, my own love story didn’t begin until I was 33. That’s when I met my now-husband. From the moment we met, we both knew we wanted to build something lasting, something special. After we got engaged, we had a very honest conversation about what we wanted our life to look like. We both dreamed of having a family, so we decided to prioritize having children right away. Little did we know, God had quite the surprise in store for us! Not only did we have one set of twin boys naturally, but we were blessed with a second set shortly after. Our older twins just turned two this past June, and the youngest are 10 months old now. It’s been a whirlwind, but our household is filled with so much love and laughter.
Recently, my husband and I made things official – we got married. But to be honest, nothing really changed for us in terms of our family life. Our love and commitment to each other and our children have always been the foundation of our home. The wedding was a beautiful moment, though. Our older twins got to be the best men and having them there by our side was incredibly special. It’s a memory we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives.
Being a mom is my greatest joy, but it’s not without its challenges. With two sets of twins under the age of three, life can get pretty chaotic! Some days are absolute madness, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I’m lucky to have such an incredible partner in my husband. He’s my rock, and his support allows me to be the best mom I can be. Together, we make a pretty great team.
Even though motherhood keeps me busy, I still find time to nurture my passion for matchmaking. I work with a select group of top-tier clients, helping them find the kind of love that truly lasts. Balancing it all isn’t easy, but I love what I do, and I love helping people find that deep, meaningful connection. There’s something magical about being a part of someone’s love story, and it’s something I’m incredibly grateful for. So, that’s a little bit about me – my journey from fashion to matchmaking, from meeting the love of my life to becoming a mother of two sets of twins. Every part of this adventure has shaped me into who I am today, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for my family and for my work.
Greetings
Laura
Transforming Beauty from the Inside Out: A Journey of Confidence, Empowerment, and Skin Care Excellence
Griet Vanhees
I am Griet Vanhees, a proud mother, entrepreneur, and the driving force behind Insightaffair, a cosmetic clinic dedicated to enhancing beauty from the inside out. My journey to where I am today has been anything but ordinary. I previously worked as a model and presenter for regional broadcasters, where I gained a deep appreciation for the power of confidence and self-expression. Those years in front of the camera taught me that true beauty isn’t just about what’s on the surface it’s about feeling good in your own skin. That realization became the foundation of my passion for skin improvement and ultimately inspired me to create Insightaffair.
Six years ago, I embarked on a mission to build more than just a clinic; I wanted to create a sanctuary where people could feel cared for, understood, and empowered. At Insightaffair, we collaborate with skilled and compassionate doctors to provide personalized treatments that enhance both the physical and emotional well-being of our clients. It’s not just about aesthetics; it’s about helping people rediscover their confidence and radiance. Every smile I see at the end of a treatment reminds me why I pour my heart and soul into this work. Running Insightaffair has been a labor of love. It demands dedication, creativity, and resilience, qualities I’ve cultivated over the years as both a businesswoman and a mother. My children are my greatest inspiration. Watching them grow, especially my eldest, a dedicated top athlete, has taught me so much about perseverance, discipline, and the importance of pursuing your passions wholeheartedly. Their unwavering drive motivates me to give my best in every aspect of my life.
Outside of my professional life, I am a passionate runner. Running isn’t just a hobby for me it’s a way to clear my mind, reconnect with myself, and find balance amidst the chaos of a busy life. Juggling the demands of motherhood, entrepreneurship, and personal growth is no small feat, but I believe in the power of setting an example for my children. I want them to see that it’s possible to follow your dreams while staying true to yourself and your values.
At Insightaffair, our goal goes beyond offering treatments. We are committed to creating an environment where people feel seen, valued, and supported. We believe that beauty is a reflection of both inner and outer harmony, and we strive to help our clients achieve that balance in their lives. Seeing our clients leave with a renewed sense of confidence and joy is the ultimate reward for everything we do. My journey has been one of transformation both personally and professionally. And through it all, my core belief remains the same: everyone deserves to shine, inside and out.
Balancing Motherhood and Career: A Journey of Resilience and Growth in Special Education
Maria Kousi
My name is Maria Kousi. I am a mother to two beautiful girls and a professional in the field of special education. With a deep love for children and a commitment to supporting families, my journey has been filled with challenges, growth, and countless rewards.
My Career in Special Education
For over 12 years, I have worked as a teacher in special education settings and as a consultant supporting families of children with disabilities. My work is more than just a job – it is a mission. I help children strengthen their skills by providing them with the tools they need to gain independence and build a life of self-sufficiency. Beyond my day job, I have the opportunity to share my knowledge through magazine articles and managing my professional educational Instagram account, mariakousi.gr, which for the past two years has helped me connect with even more parents.
Motherhood: A School for the Soul
Motherhood came early in my life. At the age of 24, while many of my peers were focused on carefree pursuits, I became a mother. This new role brought with it a profound sense of responsibility, requiring me to prioritize and rely on my own strengths. Raising my daughter largely on my own, without immediate support, taught me resilience and self-reliance.
When my first marriage came to an end, I faced a period of intense uncertainty and stress. The challenges of single parenting – sleepless nights, constant worries about my daughter’s future, and the desire to instill strong values – were daunting. Yet, I resolved that my daughter and I would thrive together. Our bond became my source of strength, and the end of my marriage marked a turning point, motivating me to build a joyful, stable life for us.
Building My Professional Identity
Despite these personal challenges, I continued to pursue my education and professional growth. I completed a postgraduate degree in special education, graduating with distinction. This achievement allowed me to fulfill other aspirations and establish myself in the field of writing, with a three-year-long collaboration with DELTAMOMS.
Motherhood has profoundly shaped my professional journey. . Every day, I am inspired by my own experiences, understanding even better the needs and concerns of parents. Through this journey, motherhood has become my greatest strength. My involvement in the field of special education is not just a career choice, but a deep commitment to helping children and families overcome obstacles and reach their full potential.
A New Chapter in My Life
Life sometimes brings unexpected blessings. After 11 years, I reconnected with the man I had once known as a student – the person who, I would come to realize, was my true love. In 2019, our paths crossed again, and together, we have built a beautiful family, raising our two daughters with love, care, and respect for their needs.
My story is a testament to resilience. No matter how difficult the journey, there is always a way forward, a chance to find happiness, and the possibility to build the life you dream of. If something is meant to be, it will find a way. This belief is what drives me every day.
A Message to Mothers
Life presents us with twists and turns, but it is up to us to turn challenges into opportunities. Motherhood, career, and personal growth are not easy roles to balance, but with determination, patience, and love, anything is possible. To all the women seeking inner strength: set your goals, pursue your dreams, and carve your own path. We are all capable of achieving what we once thought impossible.
With love and respect,
Maria Kousi
Inspiration Comes to me From Many Sources
Ron Paolo Gilman
My name is Ron Paolo Gilman, and my journey as a photographer is as rich and diverse as the cultures I love to capture. Striving to tell stories and capture fleeting moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. At 49, I carry the unique heritage of being born in Manila, Philippines, and raised in Antwerp, Belgium. I often joke that I’m like a coconut—brown on the outside, white on the inside. This mix of cultures has shaped my perspective and fueled my passion for traveling and discovering the world’s beauty through my lens.
For me, photography is more than a profession—it’s a way of life, constantly framing the world in my mind.
Photography was a part of my life from a young age thanks to my father, who was a journalist photographer in his early career. Following in his footsteps, I became a freelance video cameraman for various news channels. My career then took a turn into the medical field, where I began filming and photographing surgical procedures for educational purposes.
As much as I love working in this domain, I was in search for another creative outlet to quench my artists soul. Like any photographer, me too I tried various photography theme’s like for example landscape photography, street photography, fashion, products, weddings, pregnancy and so on…to finally have found my passion in the boudoir photography domain, in which I’ve been doing for more than 15 years by now.
My goal is to inspire women to embrace their confidence and sensuality, highlighting their empowerment and femininity.
Inspiration comes to me from many sources—travel, cultures, beauty, and passionate people. I’m always seeking new impulses that trigger my senses and fuel my creativity. While I do plan my shoots to achieve a certain vision, I also leave room for spontaneity and improvisation, allowing the moment to guide me.
I work both in my studio and on location. My studio is fully equipped with strobes, backdrops, and all the necessary gear, but I prefer natural light for my boudoir shoots, often choosing locations that enhance the subject’s beauty.
One of my most memorable sessions involved a close friend who had survived breast cancer and had a breast reconstruction after a double mastectomy. She asked me if we could have a boudoir session in my studio. The shoot was one of my most favorite ever. She was radiant and graceful in her own pure self. Even proudly showing her mastectomy scars like a badge of honor. The results were just breathtaking and never I have seen a woman more than ever empowered. After choosing her favorite shots, she had them printed on large frames and gave it as a gift to her loving and supportive husband who stuck with her in every second during her ordeal. The emotional depth of this session made it unforgettable and gave me a huge impact.
This resulted for me, from that moment on, the style direction I wanted to pursue in photography.
Being a part of Glam Mom Magazine has been an incredible journey, one that I cherish deeply. This wonderful community of moms is a powerful force, continually supporting each other and showcasing their strength. Over the past three years, I’ve had the pleasure of participating in ten photoshoots for the magazine. Each session has brought me to the most beautiful locations and connected me with an amazing team and wonderful models. I am proud to be involved with Glam Mom Magazine, believing in its potential to grow even bigger and more successful than it already is today.
