COVER MOM INTERVIEW
Devi-Shri Vancoillie: "Even though the children are not my blood, I love them with all my heart."
01. Dear Devi, please introduce yourself to our Glam Mom Magazine readers.
My name is Devi-Shri meaning the goddess of love. I am a plus mom of two beautiful children Fleur 17 years and Tijle 15 years. My passion for fashion and photography started when I was living in Luxembourg and New York. When I moved back to Belgium, I realized that I wanted to start up my own business. So, 18 years ago I started my own fashion brand Be-Angeled.
02. What does plus mom means to you?
Being a good plus mom is very important to me because it is a very important role you play in the children’s life. My parents got divorced when I was 4 years old. My sister and I had different stepmothers in our lives and they were never really good for us. It was like we were always standing in the way between them and our father. That made me learn so much of how I should and shouldn’t do it. I would never stand between my man and his kids. Even though the children are not my blood I love them with all my heart. And I made a promise that I will love, protect, and help them in their lives.
03. If you could choose to be someone else for one day, who would it be and why?
If I could choose one person to be for one day it would be Gabrielle Coco Chanel. I would find it exciting to create such beautiful designs in the most delicate materials. Creating her famous woman’s suit, the quilted purse, costume jewelry and of course the famous little black dress. She was also the first brand who designed her own perfume and how fascinating it must be to create your own scent.
04. You are styling famous people in Belgium, who are your favorite celebrities so far you have worked with?
My favorite celebrity person I have ever dressed is An Lemmens because not only she is a very beautiful woman, but she also has a pure heart and she is very sincere. I was the lucky person who could style her and photograph her for her book Pin Up Pup, it is a book for saving rescue dogs in Belgium. I treasure these moments with her.
05. We know you’re married to the love of your life; how can you describe your relationship?
Since 10 years I have found the love of my life. He’s my man, my best friend, my soulmate, and my rock. He is everything I have ever dreamed of, but the most important thing is, that I feel so loved by him. Each day he gives me the feeling that I am the most beautiful person in the world and he overloads me with so much admiration, love, and passion. A match made in heaven. We share the same passion for fashion and he started 9 years ago with his own brand Sculpt & Victory.
06. Tell us about your magical store BE-ANGELED. How did it all start?
The magical world of Be-Angeled started 18 years ago. I started my first jewelry collection in 2006 and opened the first store in 2007. Each month I go to Paris to buy the latest fashion trends. My biggest dream was to meet my muse Chantal Thomass so I got very. excited the day I met Chantal Thomass. She loved my jewelry and she sold Be-Angeled in her beautiful shop and in Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. And the best part was that the Be-Angeled jewelry were used for her beautiful campaign photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth, my favorite photographer. I have created over 30 jewelry collections and 5 handbags collections.
07. What are the plans in the future? Anything our Glam Mom Magazine readers can know first before anyone else?
My plans for the future…
I’m planning to design luxurious, feminine, and silk Be-Angeled nightwear. A collection of timeless sexy and elegant to make every bedtime blissful; and of course, a Be-Angeled perfume is a must, an iconic scent encased in a beautiful precious crystal bottle.
08. How is your relationship with your mother? Do you recognize yourself in her and the way you are with your children today?
My relationship with my mother has always been the most important one in my life. I have learned so much from her. I have so much good and love in me because of her. She has always protected us with her wings around us and she still does. My mother is an example to me how a mother should be and that’s why it is for me so easy to give so much love to Fleur and Tijle.
09. What advice would you give to your 18-year-old self?
Dream big, follow your dreams.
Everything is possible.
If you can dream it, you can do it.
10. How was your experience with the team of Glam Mom Magazine? And how was your shooting day?
I had such a beautiful and unforgettable experience with the shoot for Glam Mom. I am so grateful that I have been asked to be on the cover of Glam Mom as a plus mom. This means a lot to me. Keyoh is one of the sweetest persons I know and she made me feel so good. Ron Paolo Gilman is an amazing photographer and he made us feel very pretty, such a great energy. So grateful to have worked with him. The hairstylist Feiten was very funny and very professional, it was really nice working with her.
Thank you, Glam Mom Magazine, for this wonderful experience, moments I will always treasure.
I fearlessly navigate the worlds of entrepreneurship, modeling, and acting
Marina Gonc
I’m Marina Gonc, a serial entrepreneur and model who took a leap of faith and moved to Los Angeles three years ago. Since then, my journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. In just a few years, I’ve opened two successful businesses and established myself as a sought-after model and actress.
I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work with prestigious brands. But my accomplishments don’t stop there. While pursuing my dreams, I also dedicated myself to furthering my education. I studied at night to complete my master’s in business, which I was undertaking in Ireland. During the day, I poured my heart and soul into my businesses and nurtured my growing modeling career.
What makes my story even more special is the fact that I managed to achieve all of this while raising my precious daughter. The experience of being a mother has made me even stronger and more determined to be the best role model I can be for her. I want to show her that it’s possible to follow your dreams and explore different industries without fear. We all have a unique calling in life, and I believe it’s essential to embrace it wholeheartedly.
I invite you to join me on this incredible journey as I fearlessly navigate the worlds of entrepreneurship, modeling, and acting. Together, let’s inspire others to chase their dreams and seize the extraordinary opportunities that life presents. I am living proof that when you follow your passions and refuse to be confined by boundaries, the possibilities are truly limitless. Let’s leave an indelible mark on the world and make a difference.
My Journey from Businesswoman to Glam Mom: Embracing Challenges, Balance, and Beauty
Emma Nikogosyan
In 2009, as a young woman of 22, my journey as a businesswoman began—a path filled with challenges, growth, and evolution. Looking back, I see a trajectory that shaped me, challenged me, and led me to where I am today: on the verge of giving birth to a daughter and ready to embrace my role as a mom. It all started with the establishment of Epiliana, a trendy beauty salon guaranteeing high quality. Situated in the heart of Antwerp, over the years, we’ve distinguished ourselves by continually embracing and introducing the latest trends to our clients. Epiliana fills a crucial ‘gap’ in the market—bridging the space between treatments offered by a beautician and those by a dermatologist. We aren’t just a beauty salon; we’re a place where clients can access advanced treatments blurring the lines between cosmetology and medical dermatology. Over the years, our services expanded to include waxing, facial treatments, chemical peels, body treatments, permanent makeup, muscle building, and fat freezing. In 2020, we introduced EMfitness—an innovative muscle-building method, since 2023 we evolved to a Paramedical Skincare Clinic with DMK.
As a businesswoman, I’ve always aimed for the best for my clients and employees. My background in architecture and science has provided a unique perspective on beauty and styling, making me not only analytical and perfectionistic but also artistic and technical in my approach.
The path to success wasn’t without its challenges. During the 2020 pandemic, we fought to survive, supported by my parents and the unyielding belief that tough times make us stronger. What began as a dream between two sisters has grown into an institute with eight employees, renowned for excellence in our field. In 2021, during lockdowns, I took the opportunity to reconsider the entire concept of Epiliana—rebranding and relaunching as never before. Renaissance Beauty is the new concept—more refined, luxurious, and cleaner than ever before. I then soon realized that, despite a successful career, it no longer provided the fulfillment I sought. It felt like something was missing, as if a new chapter awaited me. It was then that I understood motherhood, the ultimate challenge, was my next calling. The idea of starting a family, of raising a child, grew louder each day.
Now, anticipating my daughter’s arrival, I realize my entrepreneurial journey is just a part of a larger whole. Motherhood will be my greatest challenge; one I embrace with the same determination and passion that built my business. As a mom, I believe in finding balance in both my personal and professional life. While preparing for this new phase, I hold onto my core principles: continue to grow, keep learning, and always strive for the best — for myself and others. And so, at 31 weeks into my pregnancy, I made a bold decision. Not only did I choose motherhood, but I also decided to launch a second business, preparing it before my daughter’s arrival. It was a challenge I embraced with open arms, knowing it would further enrich my life and challenge my skills as a businesswoman.
As I make the final preparations for the arrival of my firstborn, I realize the immense changes ahead. Balancing work and child-rearing will be a new journey, one filled with unexpected twists and challenges. Yet, lessons from my journey as a businesswoman have taught me that resilience and determination are the keys to success. I look to the future with hope and excitement, knowing that each day will bring learning, growth, and evolution. Motherhood will be my greatest challenge, but one that I embrace with love and determination. Preparing for my daughter’s arrival, I hold onto my core principles: always seek the light, be open to new opportunities, and let each challenge strengthen me. As a Glam Mom, I aim to show my daughter that with courage, determination, and a touch of glamour, anything is possible.
Lots of love

Unlocking Your Best Self in 2024: A Year of Transformation, Discipline, and Self-Love
Mouna
2024, a new year, a new beginning. It’s something we anticipate, hope for, or actively engage in every year. I love entering a new year and reflecting on the past year. For me, 2023 was a year of learning and realizations. As I write this, I realize that each year has been like this, but this year, I feel it’s more conscious than previous ones. I observe this around me as well. People are making decisions to change careers, go back to school, end long-held hopes of a marriage, stop attending school and opt for exams through the examination board.
2024 is the year of change!
I must be honest with myself and recall what I tell my clients dealing with weight or skin issues: consistency and discipline are key to making progress. It’s a process, and you have to undergo it to achieve your goals. This means increasing awareness and experiencing many ups and downs during the process, something many people find challenging, including myself. It’s because of repeating these words that I’ve come to realize, “practice what you preach, Mouna.” Discipline leads to self-care, and self-care leads to self-love. Did you know that a lack of discipline is a lack of self-love? Why not give your all to become completely satisfied with yourself? It’s never too late to start.
As a skin therapist and weight consultant, I offer some advice that contributes to awareness. Honestly, how long have you been complaining about a saggy stomach or uneven skin texture? Probably too long! Every mirror you encounter at home or on the street reflects what you don’t want to see, and that becomes your focus. It affects your mood, self-image; you open Instagram, and there you see someone else’s toned abs or flawless skin. It’s time to invest in yourself and make changes. The first step is crucial for complete transformations. Trust me; these are the stories of my clients. Clients who couldn’t go outside without makeup and were confronted with their skin every time they removed it. Those who constantly felt the need for touch-ups every few hours. Or the lady who wants to lose 10 kilos but thinks about food all day, feels guilty with every bite, reads labels out of fear of gaining a few grams and ends up losing nothing. Everything is about balance and perseverance. And that’s what I teach people at Mio Corpo Gent! Awareness and knowledge about their skin, body, and the correct way to apply these things in their lives. Everyone at their own pace and tailored to their lifestyle, of course. We analyze your patterns and work from there. But it always comes down to the same thing. Be kind to yourself, be aware that it’s a process, and that discipline and knowledge are important to understand why you’re taking these steps. Most people
can’t do it alone and need guidance to achieve their goals, and that’s perfectly okay. You wouldn’t usually be in this situation if you knew how to approach it. We all need experts, guidance, and tools to reach our goals because we simply can’t know everything. Some things are best left to someone who knows more and can follow up with you.
For skincare, here are some tips: know your skin type, so you can adjust your skincare routine accordingly. Nothing is more frustrating than buying products that don’t help or make things worse due to a lack of knowledge about your skin. If you use makeup, use mineral makeup. The molecules in this makeup are larger, so they adhere less to the pores. Drink plenty of water, be cautious of processed fats and sugars.
If you want to lose weight, you’ll also have to change some aspects of your life. Are you drinking enough water? What does your eating pattern look like? Are you getting enough sleep? Are you moving enough? The body and skin are very complex organs. They mainly need good nutrients and balance to function well and do what they’re made for. On the other hand, unlearning habits and applying new ones is also a challenge. I prefer adopting new habits because when you apply a new habit and notice that it can replace your old one, it suddenly becomes much less difficult to let go of your old habit. So, I want to stop the habit of grabbing coffee first thing in the morning. I found an alternative based on mushrooms and cacao. Since the craving for coffee was minimal from day 1 of my habit change, I hope this will be easier than expected. Not that I will never drink coffee again, but I want to ensure that I’m not dependent on a particular habit that can influence my day. And so, I try to regulate my mindset and find balance in my life every time.

Betul: A Blessed Momtrepreneur
Being a 33 years old businesswoman and happily married with three beautiful children, I have acquired my perfect balance between my personal and professional goals via my family support and self-discipline. I am honored to be a social media influencer with a strong presence on Instagram (160K followers) and TikTok (330K followers). I am able to connect to my audience at such a large scale owing to my honest dedication and consistent efforts towards raising awareness regarding health and wellness while being fluent in Turkish, English, and Arabic.
As far as my academics are concerned, I finished high school with 3 distinctions despite English as my third language. Also, I completed my master’s in international relations at Witwatersrand University in South Africa with a bursary and a subsequent teaching experience at the university level.
I started my business five years ago by opening my Instagram page. I have been always intrigued by the concept of fitness and loved how it made me feel elated. However, after having my kids, I lost my true-self and felt depression hovering over my mind, but I was able to get myself back through fitness training and core discipline. Followed by my own survival war, I wanted to help those mothers who were fighting the same war with the similar circumstances as mine as they tend to lose themselves in the paradoxical era of motherhood.
Driven by a passion for fitness and a personal post-pregnancy transformation, I aimed to assist moms in rediscovering their best selves, especially after giving birth. I want to change their lives for the better and be the reason for their smile. I want to be a role model to my children and leave a good legacy behind.
I have positively impacted over 10,000 clients through health supplements, diet, and workout plans. Therefore, to provide more support, I launched the Betul Fit App, featuring 300 nutritious recipes, 10 diversified and workable diet plans, with over 30 workout programs suitable for a variety of fitness goals.
Having recently relocated to Dubai, my products are available on www.betulfit.com & www.betulfit.ae, as well as Amazon UAE with worldwide shipping. They are also available in 20 different stores and pharmacies located in South Africa, including the Takealot app.
Primarily, Betul Fit Boutique emerged from my own struggle to find modest workout wear so I decided to design my own clothing line, including sportswear and modest dresses that became highly desirable in negligible time. The goal is to make women feel beautiful as much as comfortable in our exclusive, and high-quality outfits aligning with their valuable needs. We launched our website to be easily accessible for everyone from all around the world.
Never doubt yourself. You can achieve anything with hard work, discipline, and consistency. Results take time, so be patient. Your job is to water the plants, instead of worrying each day regarding when the flowers will blossom or when they will bear the fruits. Stay positive and blessed.
My Colorful Journey: Embracing Art and Family
Saloua Sarhiri
In my world, colors and shapes intertwine to form the tapestry of my life. From a young age, I found solace in my mother’s studio, where the scent of paint and the texture of canvases fueled my imagination. Guided by my father’s love for museums and galleries, I embarked on a lifelong love affair with art. Each morning, as the sun rises, I dive into the rhythm of family life. While my husband manages the morning school run, I immerse myself in a whirlwind of appointments and calls, seamlessly balancing the roles of mother, wife, and artist. But it’s in my studio where I truly come alive. Surrounded by the music that fills the air, I lose myself in the dance of my brushes, allowing my imagination to dictate the colors that adorn my canvases. Each stroke is a reflection of my innermost thoughts and emotions, a testament to my unwavering passion for creativity.
On Sundays, my family gathers to plan the week ahead, embracing the spontaneity that life brings. Amidst the chaos, I find peace in the simple moments shared with those I love most. For me, life is a canvas waiting to be painted—a journey of love, creativity, and endless possibility. With each brushstroke, I celebrate the beauty of the world around me, reminding myself to cherish every moment with gratitude and joy. In my colorful world, art and family intertwine, creating a symphony of love and creativity that fills my soul with happiness and fulfillment. And as I continue to navigate the highs and lows of life, I know that with each stroke of the brush, I am painting my own masterpiece—one that reflects the beauty of my journey and the love that fills my heart.
Le Lys rooms & Suites Gent
Jamila Mstoian
My name is Jamila Mstoian and I grew up most of my life in Flanders, a small village of Ternat. I come from an ethnic Kurdish-Yazidi family and have inherited both Middle Eastern and Soviet values in my upbringing and have lived here for 30 years. Given by a confluence of circumstances, we inherited so many languages I am fluent in 6 languages and am an excellent people manager. Hence my passion for Hospitality. After obtaining a Master Diploma at the Brussels Business Institute, I started my career in the hotel sector and can say with full conviction that I have become an excellent expert! Many famous stars and presidents passed the revue at my last employer Amigo in Brussels.
After these experiences, it was time for entrepreneurship, which is also in my blood! Without hesitation, I jumped to the wonderful project – Hancelot – and successfully ran it for 4 years. In parallel with a banquet hall and La Lys.
La Lys is my first real project of my own that I created entirely by myself. Here I want to emphasize the “self-hosting” system, where there is no real reception and everything is automated. Since I provide everything for my guests, they don’t have to worry about their stay at all! So why not a Guesthouse with the same facilities as a hotel, like luxury guest amenities, coffee, daily cleaning, etc.. My guests are always supported and have complete freedom to arrive whenever they wish. So those who like more of a small-scale stay (7 rooms) with a touch of luxury in a prime location (Vlaaderenstraat), are more than welcome to La Lys – the place for the urban and savvy traveler! And there will be more to come in the future!
My apologies for the penmanship, in recent years I write mostly in English.
Kind regards,
Jamila
